14 September 2003: After months of grueling work in the studio and at the computer, our first single off the new album is ready! Go to the Media section, find "Men" under Ziran Studio Sessions, download it, listen to it, love it, and let us know what you think!

23 June 2003: ZiranWeb version 2.0 beta comes online.

31 May 2003: As the Caltech school year drew to a close, Ziran was asked to come back for a one year anniversary performance at the annual Caltech Chinese Language Classes Year-End Festival. Additionally, Yifan and Mark participated in the Chinese literature class (L174) play. We've got lots of videos from our concert up in the media section. Check back in the coming weeks for the video of our play as well. It's a real must-see!

6 May 2003: We'd like to give a big thanks to the people at Fuller Theological Seminary for putting on a great event. Even though the rain came to put a damper on the festivities, we pulled together and had a great time indoors. Oleg got some real nice photos, which are now up in the Media section. You can email us for higher resolution copies if you wish. Videos of our performance will be up later this week, so please check back with us soon!

11 April 2003: After a short break, we're back in business. The Caltech C has asked us to perform at the Caltech International Week Food Fair and Culture Show next Friday (18 April). We'll be playing at at the Avery House courtyard. Hope to see you there!

15 March 2003: We'd like to thank Runa, the Pepperdine ASA, and all of the Pepperdine kids who came out to see us this week. You guys were great hosts, and we enjoyed the opportunity to play for you. Photos of the show are now up in the Media section, and video clips will be available too once we get them into the computer.

10 February 2003: Our first show of the new year is now complete. Thank you everyone who came out and saw us. We'd especially like to thank Yicun, Xiaofang and the rest of the UCI CSSA for putting on a great event! Please check back with us soon, because we'll posting videos, mp3s, and cool pictures of our live show as soon as we get them ready!

6 January 2003: Ziran's demo mp3s are released (see "Music" section)

17 December 2002: Construction of ZiranWeb begins.

14 December 2002: Ziran goes into the studio to record their first demo CD.

8 October 2002: In a whirlwind 1-night tour, Ziran plays two shows at Caltech. After receiving a standing ovation and demands for an encore at the Caltech C's Moon Festival party, they traveled across campus to the Battle of the Bands competition. Unfortunately, no judges showed up so no winner was declared (of course we would have won if there had been judges...)

September 2002: Kelly and Nathan are selected as Sun Yuan's replacements, and practice begins. We are soon booked by the Caltech C to play their moon festival party on 8 October 2002. Xinwei volunteers to sing "Hai Kuo Tian Kong" (Beyond) with us at the show.

August 2002: Brian, Graeme, Mark and Yifan get back together to get the songs back into shape and to record. Advertising for a singer begins at Pasadena City College.

Late June 2002: The band breaks up for the summer and Sun Yuan leaves for good.

June 2002: The band first gets together to play for the Caltech Chinese Language Class year-end production with singer Sun Yuan.
